CYOA is an abbreviation of 'choose your own adventure.' When mentioned on 4chan, these are images that describe varied scenarios with a common theme, intended to spark discussion about the choices you would make as you describe why you feel one of the offered choices is better than the others.
It's like that question "would you rather fight a horse-sized duck, or a flock of duck-sized horses?" except you have a dozen choices and they're all awesome.
The Jumpchain series of CYOAs was begun by an Anon named Quicksilver.
So here's the deal: You are contacted by an omnipotent entity. This guy is really bored, so he sends you across the multiverse you go on adventures to keep him entertained.
You can keep your new abilities, gear, powers, friends, etc. from one adventure to the next. If you die, however, you are sent home immediately. You keep whar you have so far, but your multiversal adventuring days are over.Mentioned elsewhere, you stay in each world for ten years, and at the end you have the option of going back home, staying in your current world forever, or moving ahead to the next world. Your goal is to become capable of surviving for a time in Dragonball Z, Warhammer 40k, or another ridiculously overpowered setting that eats people like you for breakfast. If you can do that then Jump-chan will give you a planeswalker spark, letting you travel the multiverse as you please.
It's caught the interest of a lot of the elegan/tg/ents, including myself, to the point that we've had to start posting "builds" elsewhere and only submit the link, in order to avoid clogging up the Jump Chain thread proper.
Pastebin is the host of choice for most Anons at the moment, but I chose Google Docs in order to take advantage of the formatting options. And then I decided to go ahead and use my blog, so that I don't have a single page that gets longer and longer all the time and you can easily skip ahead to the one you're looking for.
If you're not familiar with a world or you want to see the Jumpchain I'm working from, click the appropriate link at the beginning of each post.
Without any further ado, I present
