The Universal Sacred

It seems to me as I consider it more that it may be very likely that everything is a vessel for the Sacred. One questions how the label matters if it applies to everything, but there are a few other similarly universal labels, like "universe" and "existent," that apply to all existent things. Too, the label is important because it demonstrates our ability to understand a universal aspect.

Some say that only what is Sacred (or heavenly or Godly) has eternal value. Let us take this definition for the moment. If this is so, that only the Sacred has eternal value, and if it is so, that everything is a vessel for the Sacred, then what this means is that everything has eternal value.

Perhaps it is not possible to do anything at all which will not ring out into the eternities in some manner.

If we say that what is Sacred is sacrosanct, then all is sacrosanct, nothing violable.

Setting aside the reality of this idea, in its context does this mean that there is no Profane? Or is the Profane whatever was Sacred but is now perverted? Can things hold both natures, and a thing can be either Sacred or Sacred and Profane?

  1. This is actually. exactly along the lines I've found myself running on for a while. I've never really put much stock in profane being a Thing though. Merely, things which are a part of the Sacred making poor choices.
